Ruby Run Half Marathon Held between Hatherleigh and Holsworthy in mid June. Hatherleigh Arts Festival 7th - 10th July 2005 (Annually). Four days of contemporary arts, including theatre, concerts and art exhibitions, street theatre and workshops. South West Forest Wood Fair Mid July at Roadford Lake. Hatherleigh Carnival 2nd Saturday in November. The flaming tar barrels are pulled through the streets at 5am and 8.30pm and there are events and parades throughout the day. Firework Display Nearest Saturday to 5th November at the Cricket Club. Exhibitions From Easter to Christmas at the Salar Gallery Pannier Market Every Tuesday morning. The one of the largest Pannier Markets in Devon. Concerts performed by the Town Silver Band and Church Bell Ringing Competitions. Auctions Every other Tuesday – general, furniture etc. plus regular fine art, architectural salvage, sporting and antique auctions. Car Boot Sale - Every Sunday at the Market. Other events open to the public include theatre from the Hatherleigh Players, charity fetes and fairs, talks organised by local groups and societies, coffee mornings, sports matches and a variety of live music.
